Multiple Holders of Rights
Should a location have multiple rights holders, each rights holder is given a vote.
To simplify the voting process, the rights holders can choose to have a Designated Representative, or one person who will be responsible for voting at the Annual General Meeting.
Within byondcloud, this field appears when adding or editing the rights' holder's details.
A tick on one of the rights' holders in the Designated Representative tick box, will apply all voting rights to that rights' holder.
Within byondpro, the field of Designated Rights Holder on the location serves the same purpose and will flow through to byondcloud when integrated.
If no holder of right is marked as a designated representative or designated rights holder, then each rights holder will get a vote slip. Each vote slip will need to be returned and be marked as valid for the vote status to be deemed valid against the location.
See the example below for location CATH-A-005, where there are 3 rights holders.
Each rights holder has submitted a valid voting slip as indicated in the Status field.
Because each voting slip is marked as valid, the Valid Vote box is marked with a green tick.
And because each voting slip requested for a proxy vote, the Assign Proxy Vote field is marked with a green tick.
In the example below for location CATH-A-004, there are 2 rights holders.
One of the votes was marked as invalid, whereas one of the votes was marked as valid, as seen in the Status field.
Therefore, the combined vote for this location is not valid and no proxy has been assigned.
For the same location, say the voting slip for Shane Levi indicated he was attending the General Meeting and his vote was marked as valid, then the vote for the location will now be marked as valid.
However, a proxy vote has not been assigned as one of the rights holders will be attending the general meeting and will be able to vote at the meeting.
